Drama group stages dark comedy about widower
A DARK comedy entertained theatre-goers in Martock last weekend.
The Martock Players and Pantomime Society performed Derek Benfield's production of Over My Dead Body.
It tells the story of Gerald, deftly played by Martin Bradbrooke, who has recently lost his wife.
He plans to spend the rest of his days alone with his memories.

But living without his late wife's forward planning leads to a number of unexpected events in which he needs the help of his daughter Shirley, played by Jess Welsh.
Bernard Ledger, from the Pantomime Society, said: "The story is both funny and sad at the same time.
"We've done a few of Derek Benfield's pieces now and they've always been a great success."
The show was staged at Martock Parish Hall.
