Double golden delight for Frome youngsters
Frome youngsters came away with two gold and four silver medals from the Mid-Wilts Badminton Association Junior Restricted Championships at the weekend.
Their first success came from Joseph Davies and Josh Nolan, who usually represent Frome Junior Badminton Club's U14 team but took part in the U13 boys doubles at Dauntsey's School.

The two teams were evenly matched and Frome came from behind to take it into a sudden death play-off but they eventually had to settle for silver.
Frome had two pairs in the U17 boys doubles and, although Ashley Hembury and Callum Close missed out, James O'Connor and Will Perry made it to the final before losing to strong opponents.
Defending champions Dominic White and Aaron Suarez were in great form but had to work hard against a home pair to retain the U19 boys doubles title. Two other Frome teams also took part in this age category.
White had to settle for the runners-up spot in the U19 boys singles and completed a hat-trick of medals by partnering Corsham's Natalie Plummer to second place in the U19 mixed doubles.
Bradley O'Connor reached the last four of the U13 boys singles, while Hembury and Perry also made it to the semi-finals in the U17 event.
Frome Junior Badminton Club coach Clive Davis was on hand to encourage, praise and console his players, as well as help out at the championships.
"I am really proud of the professionalism demonstrated by the players at these championships and especially those for whom this was their first experience at competitive badminton," he said.
"For those who won medals, they are thoroughly deserved and once again a testament to the success of the club."
The club runs sessions for players aged six and over. Contact Davis on 01373 472591 for more details.
