Dog owners warned after four sheep die in Glastonbury fields
Four sheep have been killed and two injured by dogs in fields near Glastonbury.
Three died near Tor Hill and Chalice Hill, and another was killed in fields off Cinnamon Lane.
Farmer Ron Fouracres said all had been mauled from the back and he was worried the dogs responsible had began to widen their territory.
A police spokesman reminded dog owners that landowners also have the right, as a last resort, to shoot any dog worrying their livestock, while owners could face fines and imprisonment.
