Doctor Who actor David Tennant in new ITV series Broadchurch shot at Bowlish House, Shepton Mallet
Shepton Mallet will be taking a starring role in a drama tipped to have TV viewers on the edge of their seats from March 4.
Only time will tell whether Shepton's role in the eight-part series Broadchurch - starring Doctor Who actor David Tennant - is more than a passing glimpse.
David Tennant features alongside Olivia Colman and Vicki McClure in the series that explores what happens to a small community when it suddenly becomes the focus of a major event and is subjected to the full glare of the media spotlight.
Produced by Kudos Film and Television, Broadchurch features an array of British acting talent including Jodie Whittaker as Beth, Andrew Buchan as Mark, Will Mellor playing Stephen Turner and Arthur Darvill as the town priest Paul Coates.

Much of the filming for the series took place in the South West including Bristol, Bridport, Clevedon and Uphill.
But there was also filming at the Bowlish Hotel, Shepton Mallet, last October.
ITV has now revealed the series will start on Monday March 4 and run from 9pm to 10pm.
