Discover healthier way of eating at Frome Wholefood Shop
EXPLORE a way to a more sustainable and organic lifestyle with healthier alternatives at Frome Wholefood Shop.
It's the only one of its kind in the area, making sure that the customers have a more sustainable option to the supermarkets.
Owner Sheila Gore bought the shop as an existing wholefood shop in 1997 and has since maintained the beliefs and values first intended when the shop originally opened.
That is why, still today, Frome Wholefood Shop is fully vegetarian and no products sold in the shop have caused any harm on animals.

The product range includes fresh organic vegetables, bread, milk, nuts, seeds, eco friendly household products, toiletries, natural medicines, spirits and beauty cosmetics.
Ms Gore said: "All our fresh food is locally produced and we keep a good relationship to all your suppliers to know exactly how it is produced and what goes into the products."
Furthermore, the shelves are stacked with allergy friendly food and vegan supplements including soy based yoghurts and chocolate, cakes and almond, rice or coconut milk.
The wholefood shop is not a miniature supermarket. The customers specifically choose it to reflect a conscious lifestyle without pre-prepared or genetically modified food.
Like the aware food choices, the staffs are carefully chosen with long serving shop assistants, some who have been there up to 25 years.
Ms Gore said: "We have been very fortunate to be able to hire people from Frome in order to keep the money locally in the community."
To the question of what her thoughts on Frome as a shopping destination are, Ms Gore answered: "It's a brilliant place – different.
"Frome is unusual with all the vibrant independent shops whereas most other places is too standardised."
The town council has been a helping hand by supporting campaigns as Sustainable Frome and Incredible Eatable, who grow herbs and flowers around Frome free to the public, to encourage people to think more organically.
