Deverill picks up top award at Stratton

Stratton Cricket Club's annual meeting was attended by more than 30 club members at The White Post on Sunday.

Adam Deverill received the player of the year award, with Matt Loud, John Cox and Jamie Warren picking up the 1st , 2nd and 3rd XI awards respectively. Steve Longden was named clubman of the year.

In 2012, the 1st XI will play in North Somerset Saturday Division 1, the 2nd XI in North Somerset Saturday Division 4 and the 3rd XI in North Somerset Sunday Division 5, with the season starting on May 5.

Winter nets start on Sunday at Writhlington School from 6-7pm and all players are welcome.

The club would like to thank Dickies, Pethericks & Gillard Chartered Accountants and Hobbs Marble & Granite Ltd for their sponsorship for 2012, as well as Downside School for the use of their facilities.
