Despair as another Frome pub calls time
A former Frome mayor has expressed his disappointment that another Frome pub has closed its doors.
The Three Swans, in King Street, closed its doors last month amid rumours of bailiffs being called in.

Landlords Arthur and Pauline Collins had run the pub, believed to be one of the oldest in the town, since 2004.
As mayor, councillor Nick White hosted a pub crawl earlier this year, visiting every inn in the town to give his support to the trade.

Mr White said: "Obviously I am very disappointed that the pub has closed, it is one of the most historic pubs in the town with many original features, particularly to the outside, like the studded wooden door.
"This is a pub crying out for a lot of love and attention.
"It will need a business or person with ambition and fairly deep pockets, but this pub really should work.
"It is in the heart of the town at the top of Cheap Street and ideally positioned to exploit the passing trade and tourism to the town."
The Three Swans joins a growing list of pubs that have closed or changed use over the past five years.
These include The Globe, in Badcox, which is now a residential property, the Ship at Oldford, which is now an Indian restaurant, the Weaver, along The Butts, that currently stands empty, the Crown Hotel, in the Market Place, which has recently been sold and is now available for lease, the Sun Inn, at Whatley, which is now also a residential property, and the Bear Inn, at Holwell, which has been sold and looks set to go through a major renovation.
Recent figures released by the Campaign for Real Ale suggest that pubs are closing at a rate of 12 per week and rural areas were mainly being affected.
