Deja vu as Paulton Rovers beat Bishops Cleeve once again
MATCH REPORT: Paulton Rovers 4 Bishops Cleeve 1
Paulton Rovers recorded their second 4-1 win over Bishops Cleeve in the space of four days to go third in the Calor League Southern Division 1 South & West table.
The visitors were smarting from Saturday's FA Trophy exit but took a fourth-minute lead when Edward Williams struck Paulton central defender Marcus Mapstone on the arm. The referee somewhat harshly awarded a penalty, which Joe Hanks thumped past Kyle Phillips.
Rovers fought back strongly, though, and Mapstone, Mike Perrott, James Billing and Ollie Price all went close to levelling but Brandon Barnes finally struck in the 37th minute, cutting in from the right and hitting a cracker into the bottom corner.

The determined hosts were rewarded with the lead in the 53rd minute when a misplaced pass from the Cleeve captain went straight to Nick McCootie, who drove the ball past visiting keeper Louie Barnfather.
Rovers were giving the ball away too easily but the supporters' anxiety was eased with 15 minutes to go when Price's deep cross was flicked on by substitute Josh Klein-Davies to Perrott, who rounded the keeper before slotting home.
And victory was sealed in style in the 90th minute when Dan Cleverley swept the ball out to Barnes, who raced to the byline before picking out Perrott - sponsor Malcolm Powney's man of the match - to notch his second.
