Death does not appear sinister
Initial enquiries into a sudden death in Weston-super-Mare suggest it is not suspicious.
On Thursday morning the body of a 61-year-old man was found in a car in St Andrew's Parade in the town.
An investigation into the circumstances of his death began immediately and a post-mortem has been completed.
Although further tests are required, police said there is nothing at this stage to suggest his death is suspicious.
Enquiries into the death continue but it is not believed to be linked to the murder of Mark Roberts, who died after being assaulted last weekend.
Detective Constable Nick Riley said: "We have not uncovered any link to the earlier murder and it appears that a second death in such close proximity to the first is simply an unfortunate coincidence."
