The hosts were asked to bat first and quickly found themselves in trouble at 43-3 before Dean Clifton and Nick Potter steadied the ship with a stand of 71 in 11 overs.
Clifton scored freely, reaching his half-century from only 41 balls, before Bedminster’s spinners were able to restore some control.
Chris Hampshire (28) shared in a significant seventh-wicket partnership of 51 with Clifton, who was eventually well caught on the boundary three runs short of what would have been a well-deserved century.
The remaining two wickets added only a further five runs but Norton’s total of 233 still looked challenging, particularly after Mitchell Turner and Alex Davis took a wicket apiece to leave Bedminster reeling on 0-2.
Gareth Elphick and Vikash Patel then added 73 for the third wicket but both were dismissed by Nick Pang to leave the game in the balance at 95-4.
Rob Cunliffe (31no) eventually ran out of partners as the remaining batsmen tried to hit out rather than accumulate, meaning fourth-placed Norton emerged triumphant by 35 runs.
Norton’s 1st XI visit Street this weekend, while the 2nds welcome Nationwide House to Withies Lane and the Sunday 1sts entertain Brislington.
