Darren Cornish wins Stableford at Wedmore Golf Club
There were plenty of good scores at Wedmore Golf Club's monthly Stableford on Saturday.
The best score came in Division 2 as Darren Cornish recorded 40 points, two ahead of Kevin Osman, with Derek Moody a further point back.
Jeremy Richards topped Division 1 with 39 points, one ahead of Nick Parker. Rob Davis was third on 37.
Division 3 players struggled once the run had gone from the ball but Steve Munckton still managed 36 points to win by one from Terry Simpson, with Chris McGowan third on 33.

The highlight of the ladies' section was another excellent round from young Hannah Abraham, who reduced her handicap again with an excellent 39 points to win Division 2, ahead of Pauline Hale and another youngster, Harriet Lockley.
In Division 1, Alison Dodkin continued to show good form, scoring 35 points to finish two ahead of Cathy Olive, with Marlyn Jackson in third.
The ladies' main competition was an away day at Bath, featuring a bowmaker that was reduced to nine holes due to bad weather.
The winners were Cathy Olive, Alison Dodkin, Sue Painter and Jenny Brown, while captain Deidre Wheadon was joined by Maggie Dommett, Sue Spink and Wendy Lucas to take second place. Liz Hill, Claire Biggs, Liz Miller and Margaret Rogers finished third.
There was further success at county level for the ladies when Liz Hill and June Smith won the Fowler Lock Pendant at Oake Manor.
Playing the difficult foursomes format, they scored an excellent nett 68 to lead a large field by three clear shots.
