Dancing with Mr and Mrs Anybody in the open air
First in this season's Take Art offerings is Ordures et Ménagère which translates as Household Rubbish, by the Hors Piste company.
Thrilling dance and circus skills, eccentricity and brilliant choreography combine in this exciting and comic outdoor show, designed to wow and delight the whole family.
The show follows Mr and Mrs Anybody, living a quiet life, following a comfortable routine.
That is until the high energy, wickedly funny and physically adept young French company intervene in their supposed normality, finding provocative uses for everyday objects, delicious comedy and jaw-dropping spectacle in the most unexpected places.
Hors Piste (Off the Beaten Track) formed in 2006 and have been touring in France and abroad with huge success for many years.
Generously subsidised by the PASS European project, it is a wonderful opportunity to promote some typically French outdoor circus theatre.
Bring chairs and picnic blankets (if wet weather the show will relocate indoors).
The show is at Batcombe Jubilee Hall on Saturday at 4.30pm. Tickets are £8, concessions £4, family (two adults and up to three children) £20.
Tickets are available from 01749 850311 or 01749 812218.
