They will be followed by Jelly Jazz DJs Pete Isaac and Griff.
Pete is best known as the DJ promoter behind the seminal South West club-night Jelly Jazz which was founded just over 20 years ago. In its early days during the height of the South West's rave culture, Jelly Jazz provided a weekly diet of soul, funk, Latin, hip hop and break-beats with a jazz twist to them.
The blend worked, and the unpretentious, dance-til-you-drop atmosphere soon became a major force in South West club culture. Since then Jelly Jazz has developed an international reputation and regularly plays in venues around the world.
The evening is the latest event put on by Bude Arts and Music, which was founded by like-minded people around a kitchen table in the town, with the intention of promoting the arts in this corner of North Cornwall.
All profits from the funk evening will be ploughed back into further music events in the town.
Tickets for the dance night cost £12, and are available from two shops in Bude, Airculture in Belle Vue, and the Rhythm and Bude Music Shop in the Strand Shopping Centre.
