Cup draw not good enough for disappointed Yeovil Town Ladies manager
YEOVIL Town Ladies' joint manager Nigel Williams labelled his team's latest draw as unacceptable, demanding more passion and better finishing.
The Glovers drew 1-1 with the Londoners in the FA Women's Premier League Cup, spurning a chance to earn progression from the group stage.
Williams said: "It is now time to say that it is not good enough to give away games at this level and that is what we did.
"We created chances, we won the ball when we needed to, we passed it well on a surface that allowed us to play the way we know we can yet we come away feeling as if we have lost.

"I am not prepared to accept results like this when we really should have come away with all the points and be in the next phase. Now we have left ourselves a task to get a result at Portsmouth.
"Sarah Lawler and I make no apology that we want more from our team. We want more passion, more effort and more clinical finishing – all of which we know they can produce.
"I am not saying we didn't play well, I am saying that we were not clinical enough in seeing out the game when we had it won."
Laura Bray gave Yeovil the lead a minute into the second half only for QPR to draw level on 83 minutes.
"You can see how far we have come with this team because expectation is higher than it has ever been," added Williams. "Sarah and I will expect nothing less than total commitment for what we are striving to achieve at this club.
"Our plan has not changed from the time we took charge of this team and that is a search for excellence to make Yeovil Town Ladies the best."
The Glovers scooped the Digital Award at last week's FA Women's Football Awards, earning praise for a campaign that encouraged fans to bring a camera to their last home game of the 2011-12 season.
HUISH Park will host a bingo night to raise funds for Yeovil Town Ladies and MacMillan Cancer Care tomorrow. The event starts at 7.30pm.
