Crews free two people from cars in separate crashes

FIREFIGHTERS were called out to rescue people trapped in cars after two crashes on Wednesday.

A man in his 30s was trapped after two vehicles collided at College Green in the city centre at midnight.

Fire crews used cutting equipment to free him from the vehicle and he was checked over by paramedics.

At just after 3.20am, a woman in her 20s was freed from a Vauxhall Astra which had hit a tree in Milton Road, Milton, Weston-super-Mare. She was also treated by paramedics.
