A bus shelter in Crewkerne was recently "flatpacked" by a heavy goods vehicle say the town council.

Nobody was hurt in the incident but the shelter was completely crushed.

Jed Dunn, property and projects officer for the council said: "The shelter was crushed by an artic lorry and is needless to say no longer suitable.

"We've removed what was left of it and it is subject to an insurance claim with the HGV's company. It was an accident and they are very sorry about it."
