Course of love runs smoothly at golf club fundraiser
Love was in the air at Wells Golf Club on Saturday as Netta Colbourne and Hannah Burrows from Barclays Bank and Lorraine Milverton organised a Valentine Ball in support of the local branch of Macmillan Cancer Support.
The sum of £2,335 was raised with the help of a raffle with donated prizes, including a Mulberry handbag thanks to Lorraine Milverton and Mulberry.
Netta and Hannah were supported by Barclays Bank who generously matched monies raised pound for pound.
Local Macmillan chairman Mark Tobin said: "We are so fortunate here in Wells to have such wonderful support from the local community."
