Council rejects drum and bass application from Bridgwater pub
A council has rejected a pub’s bid to put on four ‘drum and bass’ nights after complaints from neighbours over noise.
The New Market Hotel, in Bridgwater, has a licence allowing it to put on events until 12.45am, but it applied for Temporary Event Notices for four live music nights, all lasting until 2.30am.
Last Thursday, Sedgemoor District Council’s licensing panel turned them down following objections from the council’s environmental protection unit.
