Collegians celebrate season
Frome Collegians' annual presentation evening at the Cheese and Grain was attended by more than 500 players, parents and guests.
Chairman Mike Buckley and club president Graham Clarke thanked all members of the committee, managers and coaches for all their hard work throughout the season, while Clarke also made a special mention about the death of Jock Garland, a long-standing supporter of the club.
Thanks were also given to the sponsors and all those who have helped raise funds for the new ground, although more money is still needed.
The official guests for the evening were Graham Barnes, (president of Frome Cricket Club), Ian Hasell (former Mendip councillor), Maggie Daniel, Tony Bucham (president of Frome Lyons Club), Humphrey Barnes (Frome Rotary Club) and Alan Hobbs (chairman of the Somerset FA), while Councillor Damien Hootton, Mayor of Frome, presented the major club awards.
All players in the U7s and U8s were presented with medals.

U10B: player of the year – Matthew Knight; most improved – Cameron Pomery; clubman – Chase Bright.
U10C: player of the year – Andrew Williams; most improved – Harvey Goodridge; clubman – Bethany Pang.
U11A: player of the year – Ben Griffiths; most improved – Sean Surgey; clubman – Charlie Hayward.
U11B: player of the year – Joshua Cave; most improved – Matt Seviour; clubman – Nico Mussell.
U12: player of the year – Sam White; most improved – Liam Rogers; clubman – Edward Hooper.
