The project was funded by a grant of £21,500 from the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), plus support from Sport England with club members raising the rest of the cash.
The club has already invested in floodlighting and clubhouse improvements over the last eight years and this latest development is set to benefit the club’s near 300 members as well as the local community
Clevedon Lawn Tennis Club chairman Richard Tempany said: “The four newly-laid courts will provide a top-class, all-weather surface for Clevedon tennis players for many years to come and our thanks go to the club members and the LTA for helping to fund these improvements.
“Our club is a great community asset and a friendly place to enjoy social or league tennis.
“We play all through the year and provide coaching for children and adults of all ages and abilities.”
The funding has been provided as part of British Tennis’ facilities strategy which has received substantial investment from Sport England.
