Castle Combe was the latest venue for Glastonbury racer Lee Hembury (pictured above), a 6,500 crowd watching the biker on his debut at the circuit on his pre-injected Yamaha R6.

Up first was timed qualifying for the All Comers Race and he qualified in 27th for the final, gaining a good three places from the qualifier.

The next event was the timed practice for the Suzuki GSXR Trophy and Formula 600 race where he qualified in 24th place.

With some minor gearing adjustments, Hembury gained six seconds on his morning times.

In the first final he finished a respectable 15th overall, and third in his class. Hembury entered the second race with a positive outlook and managed to retain his third position in his class.

He is now placed fourth in the championship, despite lacking funds to complete the full season.
