Chris Allen from Peasedown misses out on PDC darts tour card
Peasedown's Chris Allen failed to secure a PDC Tour card despite a promising start to his Qualifying School campaign last week.
The four-day competition in Wigan offered several chances to secure a card, with the top four on each day and the next best nine players overall earning their place on tour for the next two years.

Peasedown darts player Chris Allen
Radstock's Steve Grubb successfully navigated Q School last year and Allen gave himself a good chance of emulating his local rival by reaching the third round of the first day's competition on Thursday. He comfortably saw off Dean Coe (6-1) and Mark Ashby (6-3) before going down 6-4 to Kevin Thomas.
However, Allen picked up only one more victory over the next three days, although he reached the second round on Friday thanks to a bye before losing 6-4 to Ian Moss.

A 6-3 first-round defeat to Jason Hogg followed on Saturday before Allen reached the second round yesterday by beating Richard Foster 6-2, only to lose 6-3 to Andrew Richardson in his next match.
Grubb will begin his 2013 PDC Tour campaign at the European Tour and UK Open qualifiers in Crawley from February 22-24.
