CHILDREN were able to bottle feed lambs in the snow, as Puxton Park near Weston-super-Mare held its first lambing weekend of the year.

The family-run attraction, in Hewish, stages regular educational days.

Last year the park was overwhelmed with the number of lambs born at the park and it is looking forward to another bumper year.

The event on Saturday also saw farmer Mark Slade offer various talks about the lambs and how they are cared for.

Head of the park Susie Johnson said: "Despite the snowy weather, lots of families came along to see the baby lambs at Puxton Park and enjoyed the hands-on experience by bottle feeding and cuddling the lambs.

"The children really do love these events, so we will look to stage further lambing weekends in the run-up to spring."
