Somervale School, Midsomer Norton, was transformed into a movie theatre as it played host to Welton Baptist Church's annual Nfest.

The week was jam packed full of free events – the central attraction being an At The Movies themed children's club each morning.

About 200 children aged between three and 11 attended each day for two hours of high octane fun including messy games, a Bible memory verse, live drama and a gunge tank.

Family fun for all ages continued in the afternoons and evenings including a parent and toddler party with toys and inflatables.

More than 160 guests, fuelled by nachos and dips, popcorn and ice cream then took part in the Dumb and Dumber quiz night.

Older members and friends joined in with sing-a-long performance of the real life story of Maria Von Trap. And dads, lads and grandads battled it out during an evening with more than 20 fun challenges with cinema tickets awarded to the winners.

Big screen family fun and a picnic on Thursday afternoon was followed by Sing-a-long-a-Oz during the evening, which proved a real hit as families and friends dressed up as characters from the Wizard of Oz and sang their way together along the Yellow Brick Road.

The school hall was filled again on Friday night as guests brought their own picnics for a relaxed evening of live music featuring three local bands, Horizon, Capella and the Sam Evans Jazz Trio.

Saturday saw a family fun run, picnic and bike ride followed by a ladies only creative crafts evening.

The week was rounded off with a prize giving service on the Sunday complimented by a delicious hog roast.
