A 25-YEAR-OLD man from Burnham who downloaded indecent images of children as young as three onto his computer will be sentenced at Bristol Crown Court.

John Riches, of Aldwych Close, had pleaded guilty to 11 charges of making indecent images of children at an earlier hearing and was due to be sentenced by North Somerset magistrates on Monday.

But magistrates felt the offence was so serious that they committed the case to Bristol Crown Court on July 20. Riches was released on conditional bail.

Mike Collins, prosecuting, said the offences took place between January 1, 2008, and March 5, 2009.

He said the images were found on a computer when Riches' ex-girlfriend discovered a folder named Porn and one called Bleh, which she found contained child porn and she informed the police.
