Chilcompton Art Club celebrates its 21st year at exhibition
Members of Chilcompton Art Club have celebrated the 21st anniversary of the club with an exhibition.
The event at the Methodist Church Hall in Midsomer Norton has been hailed as a success.
A constant flow of visitors throughout the day were able to admire the work of the talented artists, with a total of 16 paintings sold.
The public vote for best in show was won jointly by Amanda Mayes with her painting called Poppy and Allen Dukes with his work Golden Oldies.
The tombola raised £100 for Dorothy House.
The club meets at St John's Church on Tuesdays between 7pm and 9pm and on Wednesdays and Fridays between 10am and noon.
Publicity officer Linda Marshall said there was always a welcome for new members.
She added: "If anyone has been inspired by our paintings and would like to come along and join us they are very welcome."
