Chew Valley Support Group's lunch benefits St Peter's Hospice
The St Peter's Hospice Chew Valley Support Group has raised almost £1,900 with a special lunch gathering.
The event was held recently at Lea Farm, in Sutton Wick and one of the organisers Raynor Nixon said it had been a success.
She said: "Everyone had a very nice time and we were able to buy lots of nice things as well, including some lovely plants from Jane Wheatley."
Mrs Nixon added that they were already planning their next fundraiser night, so urged people to get involved.
She said: "We will be holding a concert with Mendip Voices on December 7, so please make a note of this date in your diaries.
"It should be a really excellent night."
Others who attended the lunch included Maria Moon Park, who is the events fundraiser for St Peter's Hospice.
