Cheddar's Trina Gulliver knocked out of Ladies' World Darts Championship
Trina Gulliver was knocked out of the Ladies' World Darts Championship this evening, suffering semi-final heartache at the hands of defending champion Anastasia Dobromyslova.
In a rematch of their semi-final clash 12 months ago, the Russian second seed again came out on top, edging to a 2-1 victory in a tight encounter.
Cheddar-based ace Gulliver started well and took the first set but Dobromyslova stormed back to win the next two, securing victory and a place in tomorrow's final against England's Lisa Ashton.
Gulliver, nicknamed the Golden Girl, had been looking for a tenth title at the Lakeside Country Club in Frimley Green but exited at the last-four stage for the second year in a row after previously making 11 successive finals.
