Cheddar resident: 'Why not increase Upper New Road speed limit to 40mph?'
As someone, who has recently been caught in the speed trap I think that it is definitely time to review the situation.
Firstly, the sign that says that there are speed cameras. There are no speed cameras - only mobile ones.
Secondly, it was interesting in the article about Bloor Homes development that they said the average speed down New Road was 38mph. Why not increase it to 40m.p.h?
Thirdly, as I live around the corner of the top of Upper New Road it is my preferred route to the village.

I have seen cars overtaking others cars going at the speed limit and not been punished.
Fourthly, the cars come around this corner far too fast making access from my property very difficult.
Fifthly, the cars come too fast into the roundabout from Axbridge.
