Cheddar power to T20 Plate success
Lansdown 106 all out lost to Cheddar 109-6 by four wickets
Cheddar's Sunday Xl won the North Somerset Cricket Conference Plate T20 with victory over Lansdown.

Stand-in Cheddar skipper McManus elected to field first and, after Barnes and Book had taken the score to 54, saw Butcher (2-25) bowl Book for 22.
Barnes (51) was looking dangerous, though, and soon brought up his 50. With Lansdown on 100-2 in the 14th over, a daunting target looked in prospect.

An inspired bowling change saw Loughlin turn the match on its head by taking six wickets for four runs, including a hat-trick. Lansdown subsided spectacularly and were all out for 106, their last eight wickets falling for just six runs.
Spinner Sam Kent (2-28) contributed to the collapse with some teasing bowling.
Loughlin (12) got Cheddar's reply off to a quick start but when Meads was caught, they were struggling at 13-2.
Caton (19) hit some clean drives but when he was out with the score on 37, the target looked some way off.
Dan Mehlig (6) and Jim Houghton (4) also fell, leaving Cheddar needing 50 off the final seven overs. Youngster Ross Panes combined with the experienced McManus (15) in a partnership of 39 before the skipper was stumped.
Panes (42no) guided Cheddar home, though, with a maturity that belied his 15 years to secure a memorable victory.
The win concludes a successful season for the team, who also won promotion to Sunday Division 3 last month.
