Cheddar Guides get Water Aid backing from Bristol Water
This term Cheddar Guides are concentrating on water.
The unit is raising money for Water Aid and trying to raise enough money to pay for a sanitisation block at a school for 150 children.

Last week Paul Hodge from Bristol Water visited the unit and presented a cheque for £100 to start the girls’ fundraising.
They now plan to build on this and are currently organising a sponsored swim at Kings Fitness and Leisure Centre and a walk/run/cycle around Cheddar reservoir. The girls are also organising a coffee morning in April.

The Guides will also be assisting Paul Hodge present an assembly at Fairlands Middle School in April, where they will talk about everything they have learnt from his visit to the Unit.
Ellie Edgecombe, assistant Guider is co-ordinating all the water based activities for the girls and is doing a “great job” according to leader Bev Davies.
