Charlie's Angel: Mum's search for man who helped treat baby son
A good Samaritan who stepped in to help a mum whose baby was taken ill in the back of her car is being asked to come forward so he can be thanked.
Distraught mum Joanna Osmond thought she was going to lose her 16-month-old son Charlie after he suffered a febrile convulsion – a seizure which happens when normal brain activity is disturbed by a fever – at the side of North Road in Midsomer Norton.
Now she wants to thank the man dubbed Charlie's Angel for coming to her rescue.
The Radstock mother only knows her rescuer's first name was Andy and he was driving a grey Citroen car, possibly a C8, but says that she doesn't know what she would have done without him.

She said: "He stopped and took complete control of the situation. He calmed me down, moved my car and knelt with Charlie talking to him."
Now Mrs Osmond and her husband Sam want to be able to thank Andy properly and assure him that Charlie has recovered from the traumatic incident.
The drama unfolded on Wednesday, September 19, at about 11am as Mrs Osmond was on her way to Somerton House Surgery with Charlie because she was concerned about his high temperature.
She was in North Road near Bathwick Tyres when she realised her son was convulsing in his car seat.
Worried that Charlie was extremely ill, she stopped in the middle of the road and while other motorists pulled round her and hooted horns, Andy realised something was wrong.
Mrs Osmond said: "I was keeping an eye on Charlie as I drove because he was so very hot. I heard his bottle drop and it hit the floor.
"When I looked in the mirror he was having a fit and was blue in the face. His back was arching and he was shaking and frothing.
"I did not know what to do so I stopped in the middle of the road to try to get help."
While she on the phone calling an ambulance, the Citroen stopped.
She added: "Andy took complete charge. He calmed me down and moved my car out of the middle of the road and on to the forecourt of Bathwick Tyres.
"He took off his jacket and put it round Charlie and kept rubbing his arm and talking to him. He took over the situation and I don't know what I would have done without him."
Mrs Osmond said that while Charlie was now fine, he had taken a while to come out of the fit. He had been taken to Bath's Royal United Hospital where he stayed overnight before coming home the following day.
She said: "Charlie does suffer from tonsillitis and had a convulsion once before although I had not seen it.
"All I know is this gentleman's name is Andy and I think he might have been in his 30s. If he reads this or someone knows him please get in touch so we can say thank you."
