Charity event for Yeovil kidney transplant survivor's sporting goal
A CHARITY dancing evening to aid a local boy's quest to compete in this year's World Transplant Games is to be held tomorrow night.
Jack Goodland is hoping to raise enough money to compete in the tournament, which takes place in Durban, South Africa this summer.

The event, which takes place at the Victoria Field Social Club in Street, will feature international aerobics star Kardy Laguda as well as traditional Scottish dancing, and is also aiming to raise money for the South West Children's Hospice.
Rachel Cozens of Rosemary Conley Diet and Fitness Clubs is organising the evening and hopes the event will be a success for both charities.

She said: "It's going to be a great night, the entertainment will be fantastic and I'm really looking forward to it.
"We want to make it as big a success as we can for both Jack and the hospice and raise as much as possible."
Jack, who was diagnosed with chronic renal failure when just seven weeks old and underwent a kidney transplant at the age of two, competed in last year's World Transplant Games in Sweden, where he won a gold medal in the badminton doubles event.
The 15-year-old also won a silver medal in the badminton singles event and showed his incredible versatility by taking bronze in table-tennis.
Jack will be attending tomorrow's event and Mrs Cozens was full of praise for his fighting spirit.
She said: "Jack will be coming tomorrow with all his family and he's really excited about it.
"He's been in hospital recently but he's a real fighter and we're all really proud of him."
"We're going to keep trying to raise money for Jack and we're doing as much as we can to make sure we get money for him to go to South Africa."
The event begins at 7:30pm tomorrow night and will feature a short Scottish dancing display to commemorate Burns Night, before Kardy Laguda performs a 90-minute aerobics routine.
There will be a raffle to raise money for both Jack Goodland and the South West Children's Hospice, with the winner partnering up with Kardy in the Scottish dancing event.
