Charity cheque presented
Glastonbury Festival organiser Michael Eavis met a pair of stewards from last year's event after they raised £3,540 for charity.
Jackie Collier and Gill Baker were in charge of the new South Park campsite last year, heading the aptly-named Jack and Gill team.
They met Mr Eavis at the Henton centre for Headway Somerset, where they presented Headway chairman Martin Pettingell with the cheque and a cash donation from their company, CPCAB.
"We chose to support Headway Somerset because, as well as rehabilitation, they offer counselling for people with acquired brain injuries and their families," said Gill.
"Jack and I work for a company that trains people to become counsellors, and I've got a personal interest, too, as my brother-in-law had a brain haemorrhage three years ago and has needed masses of support to get back to some sort of normality.
"Organisations like Headway do a fantastic job of helping people to get on with their lives."
Mr Pentingell said: "Fundraising is getting harder in the present economic climate, set against an increasing demand to finance our three centres in Somerset.
"This money will make a real difference and we are delighted to receive such a wonderful donation from Gill and Jackie's team."
Mr Eavis said: "It's obvious that the money Jack and Gill have raised will be put to good use.
"I'm looking forward to seeing them back at the farm again this summer."
