Camborne moved up to within two points of second-placed Old Redcliffians after beating Chard 11-8 away in South West One West.

Ian Pascoe scored the only try of the game for Camborne with David Mankee kicking two penalties while Paul Nichols landed three penalties for the South Somerset side.

Leaders North Petherton and Old Reds were both without a game because of the bad weather but remain first and second in the table.

Thornbury beat Clevedon 18-10 with Dai Matthews and Rich Bennett scoring tries for the home side while Wadebridge Camels were 27-21 home winners over Bridgwater and Albion.
