The family and friends of promising young motocross rider Liam Taylor packed into St Mary's Church in Chard to say goodbye at his funeral on Saturday.

The 19-year-old of Chard of Wreath Lane died at Frenchay Hospital in Bristol on the morning of Tuesday, December 18, after sustaining serious injuries in a crash at Station Road, Ilminster at around 7.40pm the day before.

Friends have left flowers, candles, cards and motocross memorabilia in tribute at the site of the crash and have been paying their respects on social networking sites Facebook and Twitter.

At Liam's funeral, many from the motocross fraternity attended to pay their tributes and a fellow professional rode his bike as part of the procession.
