Changes ready for Weston-super-Mare library's move to new home
Changes are being made to how Weston-super-Mare library operates ahead of it moving to a new base at the town hall.
The library service, currently based at The Boulevard, is due to relocate to the refurbished town hall and open on October 1.
Services in the current library will be reduced from August 3 and a ‘mini library’ will operate during the week from 10am to 4pm until August 24.
The mini library will have a small selection of adult and children’s fiction, large print and talking books to borrow.

Items borrowed now can be kept until the new library opens in October and customers will still be able to reserve books but they will need to be collected from other local libraries.
On the upper floor, public computers and study space will be available but the North Somerset Studies Library and reference books will not be accessible.
The current library in the Boulevard will close completely on August 24, to allow for the transfer of stock, facilities and equipment and staff training.
For residents wanting to return books before October there will be a returns bin in the reception area at Somerset House on Oxford Street from August 28 to September 28 from 9am-5pm. Books can also be returned at any local library.
The Carlton Centre in Carlton Street will have a small number of computers available for public use while Weston Library is closed in September.
Drop in use of computers will be limited to Monday and Tuesdays from 2pm-4pm.
The library at The Campus is also extending its opening hours from August 6 and has a number of public computers available.
More information about the new library facility and the move is available at www.n-somerset.gov.uk/westonlibrarymove .
