Chance to save some cash on heating oil
A scheme helping people save money on heating oil has launched in Somerset.
The Somerset Community Oil Scheme, launched by the Somerset Community Council offers the choice of buying oil through a county-wide bulk buying group.
The idea started at Oxfordshire Rural Community Council. Working with a local broker they developed the group and started ordering for their members in September 2010. When the scheme was fully developed and the members were saving lots of money, Oxfordshire RCC decided to franchise out the scheme to the other community councils.
