Romantic slacker Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera) is trying to win the love of his dream girl Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) but her seven evil exes are out to kill him.

Scott Pilgrim Versus The World is Edgar's first US production. He is directing the film, which he co-wrote with Michael Bacall, for Universal Pictures.

Edgar shot to fame in 2004 with the award-winning zombie movie Shaun Of The Dead. It was followed by blockbuster Hot Fuzz, in 2007. Filming took place in Wells, with many local people cast as extras.

Edgar embarked on his first epic aged 14 with a Super 8 short entitled Rolf Harris Saves The World.
