Caution for attack
THE case against a Dorchester teenager for assaulting a police officer has been dropped after magistrates heard she had accepted a caution.
Jessica Sally-Ann Mary Milliner, 19, of Shaston Crescent, had previously been due in court on June 28 and when she did not turn up a warrant was issued to bring her before magistrates at Weymouth.
The Bench has now been told she was given a caution by police on June 30.
It was likely that at the time she was due in court she had already known that she would be cautioned and had not come to court because of that.
A caution can only be given where there is an admission of guilt to an offence.
