Carving of dragon sells at auction for £13,000
A small Japanese carved ivory Okimono of a coiled scaly dragon stole the show at an auction in Somerset.
The unsigned carving of a dragon among clouds chasing a flaming pearl sold to a telephone bidder for £13,000 at Tamylns’ Antiques auction in Bridgwater. There was a small crack in one of the clouds otherwise it was in good condition.
