Car ablaze after hitting tree in Wellington
Firefighters extinguished a car that careered off the road and collided with a tree early today.
Crews used a thermal imaging camera to ensure no one was in the vehicle, which was well alight when they arrived, at Old Way Road, Wellington, at 3.15am.

Police also attended the scene.
It is not known how the vehicle burst into flames.
