​A cannabis factory containing around 500 cannabis plants was discovered in a police raid on a Somerset village.

Officers executed a drugs warrant at an address in Moor Lane, East Coker, near Yeovil at 9.30am yesterday.

A 38-year-old local man found at the address was arrested on suspicion of production of a controlled drug.

Officers, including Crime Scene Investigators, spent the day at the address gathering evidence.
