Burns Night cancelled in Weare
A Burns Night celebration has been cancelled in the Cheddar Valley tonight.
Sadly no haggis will be piped into Weare Memorial Hall due to poor ticket sales.
There is also no Burns Night supper in Axbridge this year. Instead a play called Minotaur by Axbridge Community Theatre's Youth Group is in Axbridge Town Hall tonight and tomorrow at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £5 from the town butcher, chemist or Post Office.
Burns Night falls on January 25 - the birthday of Scottish poet Robert Burns in 1759.
