Burglary accused given more time for legal advice
SOMERSET Magistrates have adjourned a case against a Wells man accused of offences of burglary and possession of drugs for him to seek further legal advice.
Joe Mazza, 23, of Keward, is charged, jointly with Daniel Davies, with entering as a trespasser an address at Romany Way, Glastonbury, and stealing jewellery of an unknown value on September 18.
He is further alleged to have been in possession of 28.1g of cannabis during a separate incident at Wells on September 24.
Speaking on the defendant’s behalf, his solicitor Ray Peters said Mazza had a history of mental health problems and was currently living in supported accommodation.

His application for the case to be adjourned for Mazza to be interviewed by the mental health service and given further legal advice was granted by the Bench.
The defendant was ordered to return to the court at Yeovil on November 8 and was given bail on condition that he observe a daily curfew between the hours of 9pm and 8am while fitted with an electronic tag.
