It's important we try to get on a run of victories, urges Brown
Wayne Brown believes that Bristol Rovers will need plenty more of the determination that saw them through against Chesterfield to gain points from the next two away matches.
Rovers, who are 20th in League Two, go to sixth-placed Rochdale today and then high-flying Port Vale on Tuesday with work to do to climb away from the relegation zone after an inconsistent season so far.
Brown returned to the starting line-up last Saturday after coming off the bench in the previous two games.
He said: "We will take confidence from the win over Chesterfield after showing a lot of fight to recover from being pegged back twice during the game.

"Sometimes this season, when we've conceded, the opposition have gone on to score the next goal, but we showed resilience and belief and Tom Eaves has been outstanding for us with his goal threat and he got the winner.
"It's important we try to get on a run of victories so we can push up the table.
"We know it's not going to be an easy game, but we've got to try our best, be organised and, hopefully, the result will follow with a good performance.
"We don't want to be where we are in the league, but I think we're nine points off the play-offs. In this league, anyone can beat anyone, so if you put that run of results together you can jump up the table within the space of a month.
The win over Chesterfield served to increase the gap between McGhee's side and the bottom two teams in League Two to four points and Derek Riordan, who is still looking for his first goal for Rovers admitted:: "It was a relief to win the game for ourselves and also for the manager.
"It has given us a bit of a boost and we are confident going into the Rochdale game. It will be a tough match, but we certainly have a good enough squad to win the game.
"This squad of players is probably the best I have ever been a part of in terms of team spirit.
"I've really enjoyed being here, but if we could string a few results together it would be even better. There is not much difference between us and, say, 12th position, but we need to start putting points on the board as quickly as possible to avoid slipping too far behind the top seven."
Manager Mark McGhee was at Spotland to see Rochdale lose an FA Cup first-round replay at home to Morecambe on Tuesday night, and he said: "I think they will be disappointed to have gone out of the FA Cup and that will make it a difficult game for us.
"They are a good side with two or three very dangerous players coming back in to make them even stronger."
Rovers are without on-loan Matt Lund, who is suspended, so Michael Smith is likely to deputise. Danny Woodards is set to be named on the bench as he continues his comeback from a broken leg.
