The Mendip Farmers' Hunt held their annual puppy show where young hounds are judged for shape, style and action – much the same way as any other livestock at shows around the country.

One of the judges at the event held at Priddy was Lady Arabella Moger, a master of hounds from the Blackmore and Sparkford Vale Hunt, which neighbours Mendip in the south of the county. The judges were most complimentary about the hounds presented, and congratulated the puppy walkers.

Best dog hound Wentworth was walked by the Brimble family from Litton, with best bitch Stylish having been walked by Sheilagh Williams from Chewton Mendip. Stylish was judged to be the champion.
