Bridgwater Town suffered their 28th postponement of the winter when their home game against Evesham in Division One South & West of the Evo-Stik Southern League was called off because of a waterlogged pitch.

“We were never hopeful that the game would be played after all the rain,” said Bridgwater secretary Roger Palmer.

“There were pools of water all over the pitch. To say this has been an horrendous season for fixtures would be an understatement.

“This has been going on since November.”
