Big support for dual appeal
The Mid Somerset Series' sister newspaper the Western Gazette has said it has made terrific progress with its A303 Dual It! campaign in its first week of it being up and running.
The newspaper's office has seen inundated with letters as hundreds of readers sign a petition online as well as in shops near the A303.
The campaign calls for major improvements to the A303 involving turning it into a dual carriageway through Wiltshire and Somerset.
Supporters of the campaign have also taken to social networking site Twitter where they have been registering their approval.

Reporters' phones have been ringing off the hook with numerous telephone calls giving supportive comments and means of support.
The A303 carries 21,000 motorists through the county every day.
The route has had a staggering 300 road crashes between the Eagle Tavern and the Dorset/Wiltshire border between 2007 and 2011 – one crash every six days.
