New term, new era at school
THE headteacher of King Arthur's School in Wincanton has hailed the start of the autumn term as a "new era".
Returning pupils are now wearing the school's new uniform of a blazer and tie. They are also now part of one of four school houses, Percivale, Lancelot, Gawain or Galahad.
A £10,000 lottery grant awarded to the school last term has been used to provide a new climbing wall, football walls and social seating areas while the school also has a newly refurbished science laboratory and drama room.
Headteacher, Chris Beech said: "The school is looking great and students have returned with a very positive attitude.
